Bid day shirts and outfits
Most chapters wear a matching printed tee or tank on bid day, in chapter colors, with the letters or the year's theme on the front — one shirt for the new member class and often a second design for the actives. Order two to three weeks before bid day so the shirts arrive before recruitment week starts, not during it.

What sororities wear on bid day
The standard is a matching printed top plus denim shorts or a skirt the members already own. Chapters pick one garment and one colorway so the run-home photos read as a block of color, then let everyone choose their own bottoms and shoes. That keeps the cost per person to the shirt alone.
New members usually get a different design from the actives — same colors, different front print — so the photos show who joined this year. Some chapters print the year or the theme on the back and keep the front to letters.
How to plan bid day outfits for the whole chapter
Collect sizes before you design anything. The size spread decides the garment more than the design does, and it is the one thing you cannot fix later.
Pick the garment against the weather, not the mood board. An August bid day in Alabama is a tank; an October one in Michigan is a crewneck.
There is no minimum order. One shirt goes through the same process as eighty, and group pricing starts automatically at six pieces (5% off at 6, 8% off at 12, 12% off at 24).
Allow a minimum of two weeks for production. That covers ordering the blanks, printing them, and shipping. We print in San Diego, so East Coast delivery usually adds about five business days on top.
Designing the shirt
Describe what you want and the design tool draws it in seconds with the background already removed — "Alpha Phi script with sunflowers", "bid day 2026 retro sun" — and you can swap the garment color and the ink until it looks like your chapter. Every account gets five designs free.
Keep the design to 2 ink colors if you can. At 3 colors or fewer we screen print, which is what gives Greek apparel that thick, opaque look that survives a hundred washes. Above 3 colors the job moves to digital DTF, which handles photographic artwork and gradients but sits lighter on the fabric.
