Cancellations & refunds
All sorority.boutique orders are custom, so there are no cancellations or returns after the order has been sent to production. If you need to cancel an order before the garments have been procured by us, we will refund 97% if you notify us within 48 hours. If you cancel after the garments have been ordered but before they have been customized, we can refund 72%. Once the garments are in production for printing or embroidery, there are no cancellations or refunds. Our suppliers will take back unaltered garments (with a restock fee and shipping costs) but will not take back items that have been printed or embroidered.
By ordering custom apparel, you acknowledge that decorated items have no value to any other group or person and are unsellable once we apply your graphics or letters. Unlike blank apparel from a retail store, custom items cannot be resold if returned. You cannot expect a refund because you did not like how they turned out, your event was cancelled, or you did not resell the quantity you ordered.
Quality control
We do our best to ensure you receive garments that are error-free, but sometimes we receive blanks with defects that were not caught by the manufacturer’s quality control. Small holes, stains, and sewing errors are common in up to about 2% of merchandise. If we have time to reorder the units and print them in time, we will. Otherwise, we will notify you and, at our discretion, credit back any imperfect garments. Those items will still be sent to you (separated with QC tape marking what was defective), and we will credit the garments.
Production timelines
Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for production. That gives us time to order and receive your garments from our suppliers, print or embroider your items, and ship them to you. We are based in San Diego, CA — shipping to the East Coast typically takes about 5 business days. We will cancel any orders that cannot be delivered on time, or we may offer a rush fee or expedited shipping if we can meet your date by paying overages. Those costs are on top of your original order price; you will be notified and can choose to proceed with the additional costs or cancel and look for another vendor.
Artwork
To ensure your order arrives the way you want, please review your artwork for spelling errors and similar issues. We are not responsible for misprinted garments due to customer error or negligence.
Provide Pantone numbers for colors that must be exact. Art sizing and placement are subjective — if you want your print 12″ wide and 1″ from the waist hem, specify that. Otherwise, we reserve the right to produce based on the mock-ups on our site and our best practices and industry standards. Unless you give additional specific instructions, we will do what we think looks best and most like the mockup on our site.
Decorating methods
Our default decorating technique is screen printing for most jobs. If a design is complicated or has many colors, we may use digital DTF printing. If you want embroidery, you must specify that. We will communicate to choose the most suitable method. Some garments do not work well with embroidery (for example, foam trucker hats or ribbed tank tops), and digital printing has limitations as well. We have decades of experience producing decorated apparel and will advise you on what will work best.
Garment sizing
You are responsible for providing the sizes you need. Apparel we offer is sized to fit the general US population; most garments are juniors or women’s sizing. If you are unsure how garments will fit your members, contact us and we can send a spec sheet with measurements (for example, chest width). We cannot be held responsible if items fit loosely on some members or too tightly on others, and we do not accept returns for fit.
Shipping
We insure shipments via UPS or FedEx in case of lost or stolen boxes, but we are not responsible for delivery times or mistakes by third-party couriers. Provide a correct address where packages can be received during normal business hours. If you are concerned about theft in your area, request a signature for delivery. Once merchandise leaves our warehouse, responsibility is with the courier.
Washing care
Follow the care instructions on your garments. We are not liable for damage from incorrect washing. Garment-dyed and tie-dyed blanks may need to be washed separately the first time to avoid bleeding onto other clothes. Specialty inks such as puff, glitter, and metallic foil should be washed gently on a gentle cycle. Synthetic fabrics like football jerseys should be dried at low temperatures so the fabric does not warp and the print does not sublimate from dye migration.
Licenses & intellectual property
You assume all liability for your artwork and for paying any royalties for protected trademarks. Most graphics and text are not owned by your sorority, but registered trademarks (including those filed with the USPTO) should be used only with permission. We do not assume liability or agree to pay royalties for using unregistered names, Greek letters, or other characters or clip art that are in the public domain.
Site technology & order review
Our site uses AI and other technology that may make mistakes. Errors in calculating order cost, transmitting artwork files, or generating graphics will be reviewed by a human. We reserve the right to notify you of changes to your order price, send a proof for approval, and otherwise double-check that order information is correct before production.
